Trinity Christian School
“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6
The story so far….
A group of parents, teachers and interested individuals from various churches are currently working together to start a new Christian Primary School in Reading, Berkshire. The school is now registered with the Department for Education and will open in September 2013. The curriculum has been written, policies drawn up and the first teacher appointed.
What are we aiming for?
We want to give children from all types of families the opportunity to be educated in an environment where God is central and the teaching is based upon a biblical understanding of the world; to help them develop their relationship with God, and to equip them for life in society. We aim to provide a stable, caring environment which fosters high expectations of personal conduct and helps pupils to develop both understanding and personal qualities of integrity, patience, kindness, obedience, honesty and self control. We understand the primary responsibility for the upbringing of children to be that of their parents. We aim to help parents in this and to encourage their participation in their child’s education.
Where are we up to?
The school will be based in rooms at 11 Glebe Road, Reading. Initially the school will be a primary school welcoming pupils aged 4 to 8, extending to the full primary age range. Once there is sufficient demand the school will extend into the secondary age range.
What next?
Parents, if you would like to apply for a place for your children please complete the application form.
Teachers, if you are interested in working at Trinity Christian School please send us your contact details so we can inform you about teaching posts as they become available.
Church leaders, we would love to visit your church to explain more about the vision for Trinity Christian School. We are happy to participate in Prayer for Education evenings such as those held recently in several local churches.
Supporters, we value your help with the many jobs which need to be done before the school opens. We also need financial support.
Please come along to one of our prayer meetings or let us know if you wish to receive our regular prayer updates.
